The School Police Department got KASH a brand new 2013 Ford Police Interceptor in order to do his job of finding missing and endangered children all over Palm Beach County.  “It’s a really nice car… but I think all black makes it kind of boring. I wish it had some designs on it so that people would know it was my car,” says KASH.

Since elementary students selected the bloodhound’s name, now middle and high schoolers will be able to “KASH” His Ride. Palm Beach County School District students from grades 6-12 can participate in the car design contest.

Here are the rules that need to be followed:

  1. Submissions can be hand-drawn or graphically designed. A copy of the template can be found HERE.
  2. Submissions should be clearly labeled and include:
    1. Name of the school
    2. Contact phone number
    3. Name and grade level of the artist
  3. ONLY one submission per school.
  4. Submissions should be emailed by the Principal or designee to KidsAreSafeHere@gmail.com or pony the submission to School Police Department – B127.
  5. Submissions should be received by School Police no later than 4:30 pm on Friday, May 31, 2013.

The car design will be chosen and the winning school will be notified by Tuesday, June 4, 2013. The winning school will be invited to participate in a formal presentation at the school board meeting held on Wednesday, June 5, 2013.

DONATIONS FOR KASH

Atlantic High School students are raising money on behalf of the Jimmy Ryce Center. The goal is to raise enough money for the organization to continue donating Bloodhounds, like KASH, to other police departments across the United States.

If you are interested in helping, please click here to visit their website and follow the directions to the donation page.  Check out the video. “I look awfully cute in it!”
